I feel like too many people think “online” and “fake” are interchangeable words.

I’ve just celebrated two years with my “fake” girlfriend I met on the internet.

It sort of annoys me that all these gifs and pictures of people in long distance relationships are nearly always super skinny. I never see a girl with a lot of curves. I don’t see people with some pudge around their middles.
It’s discouraging because he is soooo skinny and I’m not. I’m afraid…

Never fear friend! Relationships DO have people of all shapes and sizes. It can be discouraging when many other couples appear “different” from you, but this is nobody’s fault.

Here are some pieces of art I found that might lift your spirits:

I also found this wonderful artist that features a lot of body types in her artwork, including larger, curvier women.

Her artwork can be found here (some you might consider nsfw so be careful).

Also if you are feeling worried about your body, asking your S.O. to lift your spirits may be a good idea! Let him know how you feel about your body, and tell him about your fears. If it is approached in the right way, he will see that you are not doubting his commitment to you, but just could use some more reminding that he does love every single piece of you. Partners that love you for you will always be willing to brighten your day and tell you that they love you.

I hope this helps!
